It teaches historical knowledge of traditional Àdìre Eléko and indigo dyeing. This comprehensive course provides a background to the art through a wealth of experience working in the field for several years. It teaches about the origin of the art, the cultural meaning of designs on fabric, and the traditional production of vegetal dyes. It further explores the world of contemporary artists who engage with cloth in diverse ways and how all of these add to the rich tapestry of making Àdìre in today’s world.
